The year of 2008 was a full and exciting one! We started off with a special
opening slot for Doc Walker at the Commodore Ballroom in Vancouver. In
June we released our debut CD across Canada - 'Real Thing' - and on the
same day hit the road, doing both a radio and performance tour at the
same time. We travelled to many cities in BC, Alberta, and Ontario. A
highlight from our Ontario shows was definitely the Canada Day Jam in
Toronto, and opening for Aaron Pritchett at Music in the Valley in Forest,
ON. We also performed at the amazing Island Music Festival in Courtenay,
BC, opening for Earl Scruggs. In August we performed at the Big Valley
Jamboree, Harmony Arts Festival, Edge of the World Festival and the Northwest
Washington Fair. September was an exciting time as we flew to Winnipeg
for the CCMAs, performing at various events, and introducing FACTOR and
Gord Bamford on the televised awards show. Also in September, it was a
special treat to open for Randy Travis at the Ottawa Civic Centre. In
October we were honoured to be nominated for 13 BCCMA awards and actually
win 6 of them! Finally, our highlight in December was performing on 'Tara
Oram's Christmas Carol' TV special.
