The Higgins proudly took home three awards at the 2010 BCCMAs this past weekend. They are the 2010 ROOTS ARTIST OF THE YEAR, as well as VIDEO OF THE YEAR for their "Free Like Love" video, directed by Stephano Barberis. At this year's Canadian Country Music Awards in Edmonton, The Higgins were invited to join a long list of Canadian country artists in recording a song titled "Standing Strong and True (For Tomorrow)" - a musical tribute to all Canadian Troops and their families. Some of the artists that participated include Aaron Pritchett, Beverley Mahood, Terri Clark, Emerson Drive, Dean Brody, Ridley Bent The song will be available on iTunes for download on October 25th. Announcement! The Higgins and Arkadia Pictures are looking for volunteer extras to be in The Higgins' next music video which will be airing on CMT and various other media outlets. They are looking for males and females between the ages of 14-32 for a large group scene to watch and cheer as The Higgins perform their hit new song. Please send a photo to the Producer, Alex Galanis at alex@arkadiapictures.com. Only those selected for the video will be contacted. The non-union music video will be shot in the Lower Mainland (Vancouver, BC) on Tuesday, January 12th, 2010 and will require approximately 5 hours of your time.
