Flower Child Top 5 CMT and Top 15 on Radio

The Higgins hit debut single Flower Child continues to hold strong among country's biggest name artists, coming in at #5 on CMT, and #13 on national radio charts. John, Eileen and Kathleen plan on visiting as many stations as possible this summer in support of their new CD "Real Thing" which releases nationally on June 24th.

The Higgins' new CD, "Real Thing" will be officially released June 24th on Open Road Recordings. The Higgins kick off the release of "Real Thing" with a three day blitz of radio stations in Western Canada. Tuesday, June 24th kicks off with a visit to hometown supporters, JRFM. That night they wing off to Calgary, AB, where they'll be live on the Country 105 morning show June 25th at 7:45 am. That afternoon The Higgins will visit KG Country in Red Deer, AB, at 4:00pm. The next day - June 26 - they hit Edmonton, guesting on the CISN morning show at 7:45am. Later that day, The Higgins will perform a live acoustic set for the winners of the CISN Backyard BBQ. That's just the beginning - listen for The Higgins to appear on your favourite stations soon! Better yet, request them!

Flower Child Video Nominated for a Leo Award

Arkadia Pictures has received a Leo nomination for Best Video Of The Year.
The Higgins' "Flower Child", currently forging its way through the national video top 10, is the video that has acquired the coveted nod. Three years ago, director Stephano Barberis won the Leo for "Best Direction In A Music Video" in addition to three nominations for that very award. The Leo Awards are British Columbia's premier film and television awards and are held in Vancouver in late May.

Flower Child Hits Top 20 on Radio

The Higgins are thrilled that their first National single "FLOWER CHILD" hit radio Feb. 29, 2008, a special Leap Year release! Thanks to fans and friends phoning in to their local stations and requesting airplay the initial response has been very positive. The CMT video of "FLOWER CHILD" is now in heavy rotation. The Higgins to Perform at BCCMAs

Hot on the heels of their standing ovation showcase at the CCMA's in Regina, The Higgins have been asked to perform at the BCCMA Awards at the Red Robinson Show Theatre in Coquitlam, B.C. on October 28th.

The finishing touches are currently being done on The Higgins' CMT video for the single "Flower Child." Stay tuned in the coming weeks for details of the launch and release of their new CD!

We've been very busy over the last few months writing new material and playing some exciting shows!

Highlights include headlining St.Patrick's Day at the Cascades Casino Show Theatre in Langley, and performing for delegates at the OMMA Convention in Merritt, BC. We're also at work recording new material for a Summer 2007 release, and preparing for another trip to Nashville.

We'd like to thank all of our radio friends in Western Canada who have been playing "Flower Child" as an advance release off our new CD. Stay tuned for what may be our next single - "Sounds of Summer."
